Celebrate an Evening

for the Animals

The Awards Dinner celebrates individuals, professionals, and organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving and protecting animal lives as epitomized by the 2019 honorees, Houston Astros' Pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and his wife, Kara,  along with Country Music Recording Artist Tracy Byrd and his wife, Michelle.

This year we will honor NFL Defensive Back William Jackson III. Will is a Houston native, who played for the University of Houston before turning pro and now plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. In the off-season Will resides in Houston with his many pets, including a dog, pig and horse. He is a true animal advocate and we look forward to honoring him this year.

This event will also celebrate the efforts of the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce and all proceeds will benefit them. The lead agencies in the Taskforce include the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Harris County Constable Pct. 5, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the Harris County Animal Shelter, the City of Houston Animal Shelter, Crime Stoppers, Houston Humane Society, Animal ER of Northwest Houston, Houston PetSet and drumBEAT Marketing.

The awards dinner, the Taskforce’s flagship fundraiser, will be held on May 6, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Maggiano’s Little Italy located at 2019 Post Oak Blvd. This celebratory event is expected to be attended by 200 guests including judges, law enforcement, government leaders and animal advocates, and will feature fine food and drink and an awards ceremony.
